Our Tukish Van Cats
Van cats are a distinctive breed of cat native to the Lake Van region of Turkey. They are recognized by their long, white fur and often have one blue and one green eye (heterochromia). These cats are known for their intelligence, playful nature, and social behavior.
One of the most intriguing features of Van cats is that they are born with a mark on their head. This mark is usually a white spot or line and remains throughout the cat's life. For this reason, Van cats are also called "Sealed Cats."
There are many legends about the origin of this special mark. Some say Van cats escaped from Noah's Ark and developed their unique traits in the mountains. Others believe these cats are divinely chosen, stroked on the head by God to mark them as sacred.
Scientifically, the mark is attributed to a genetic mutation affecting fur color. This mutation gives them their iconic white fur with a small spot on the head.
